Let’s poke fun at Sarah Palin today… oh wait, so many others have already. Let’s hear what they said instead. I can tell this is going to be a long post! Have fun:

In all fairness, let’s hear from Palin herself:

What the hell

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

I’m probably in no mood to write a productive post right now, but what the hell?

Truth be told, I wonder that every single day. What the hell? More often than not, WTF? WTF is wrong with people. I can only speak about Americans… for the most part as they are the ones I’m in constant interaction with.

WTF is up with our collective apathy? Probably what got me in this mood is a crash this morning on my bicycle on my way to work. I bit the dust, no problem. What really pissed me off was the 2 cars and 3 bystanders that witnessed my crash and went about their merry little way and didn’t bother to check to see if I was OK. Not that I needed their assistance, but to just check on a fellow human being every now and again is what good people do. To look the other way is selfish and shows how indignant you truly are.

This is not my first time dealing in crisis with apathy.

About a year ago I saved a guy who had a stroke. He was near dead when I found him. Folks were standing around looking at him then elsewhere not wanting to be involved. I revived him along with one other person (out of about 30) until the EMS arrived and hauled him off. I don’t think of myself as a hero. I think of myself as a human. Those other 30 f**ks who sat around doing jack are not human. They are slime. The 2 cars and 3 bystanders who sat around watching me crash are slime.

Maybe this is our culture. To be voyeurs and not actually participate in reality. We watch people get hurt on television and in movies and books and gain enjoyment from it vicariously. So, maybe these f**ks have just detached from reality and are witnessing everything from a 3rd person perspective even though they are actually present.

Who knows?

What I do know is that I probably shouldn’t write when I’m depressed. I also know that next time somebody acts less that humane, I’m gonna punch them in the god-damned nose.

Peace.
